Nador 19 Location

The exceptional location of the apartment will make your Budapest stay all the more enjoyable. Amongst a host of other wonderful things to do and sites to visit, the Opera House, pictured above and below, stands out as a true jewel in the crown of the city.

The apartment was specially selected for its proximity (within 15 mins walk) to this historic landmark by the apartment owners, who come from the world of opera and classical music, and who are Artistic Directors of the notable UK based touring opera companies, Swansea City Opera and Opera Box.

If you would like any advice on selecting and booking your tickets for events at the Opera House, please contact us - we will be happy to help.
Please see below for a taste of what else you can expect to find in this beautiful city. You will also find some useful links to events and tourism Web sites at the bottom of this page. Please click here for apartment prices and booking information.
You will have only a 10 minute walk to the world famous shopping street of Váci Utca, and to the funicular railway which takes you up to the medieval castle district. Similarly the stunning Opera House, situated in Andrássy út - a UNESCO World Heritage site – (as is the underground that you can hop on to get around town) is only a 15 min walk or one metro stop away from the apartment, the nearest metro station being just 5 mins away from the apartment. If you like searching for antiques and objet d’art, then you will also be pleased to know that the apartment is also only 15 mins walk to the street, close to the Parliament, housing all the prime antique shops specialising in Biedermeier and Art Deco furniture and furnishings.

Don’t let the language be a barrier as most Hungarians in the restaurants and shops speak good English, and failing that a pleasant smile and thank you will take you far in your shopping and dining adventures! Since it eschewed Communism and joined the EU, Hungary has blossomed, and gradually the beautiful city of Budapest is regaining its former glory. There is street after street of fabulous architecture, many buildings fully renovated and many still with their rather shabby-chique charm.

Pictured opposite are:

  • The Opera House
  • Cathedral
  • Szechenyi Baths
  • Parliament Building
  • Chain Bridge
