We had a wonderful time in Budapest. The apartment exceeded our expectation and was very comfortable. The location could not be better and we were in easy reach of all the places we wanted to see. Attilla was waiting for us at the airport and gave us a very warm welcome and was a mine of information on Budapest and gave us his number in case we needed him.
The information in the apartment was most helpful and we had an excellent meal at the Strudel house. We managed to get a box at the opera house very reasonably. There was no opera at the time of our visit but we attended an international festival of ballet, which kept us spellbound throughout. A lot of the time was spent looking at the architecture - there was so much to see.
Thank you so much for getting in some bread and milk – it meant we could have a hot drink and a snack after our late flight. The local shops were very close and convenient. We ate out most of the time but had some light meals in. The tomatoes were some of the tastiest I have had for a long time.
I think we left everything as we found it. We turned down the heating and made sure the towel rails were off along with everything else. There were so many things we did not manage to fit into the time. We would like to return some time and hope the apartment will be available again when we do.
